   “I came looking for copper, but instead, I found gold.” This sentence summarizes my experience of this manhwa.
   ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎
   While this *is* a series that contains a critical misunderstanding, they mix it with various elements and tropes (such as MC’s prior knowledge to the game that the world is based on) to smooth it out and make it more ‘palatable’ for the average reader. The MC himself becomes fairly overpowered by around chapter 10, so you can expect something similar (perhaps better) to ‘The Eminence in Shadow’.

   I will say, this is a ‘misunderstandings manhwa’ done RIGHT. Not like the ones, where it becomes too awkward to read for the reader, but done in a way where it instead yields a SATISFYING result for the reader.

   All in all, this is very much A tier, and a good contender for S tier, and I highly recommend this.

      I fucking hate Eminence of Shadow and like this better because (1) The world really is in epic danger. (2) He not lying and deceiving the girls just to play out some fetish he has.

      I hate the MC of Eminence in Shadow because he is a fucking delusional moron who gaslight the girls and internationally creates chaos just to satisfy his fucking delusional mentally ill fetish. He literally lie to Alpha making up a story of demonic doomsday cult when he could have simply let her live a normal peaceful life. But no, he deceived her to make her serve him as a secret savior of an evil plot of his own making. That anime/manga is way too overrated. Mental illness should not be celebrated.
