yeah realistically a Person Can Cultivate few Acres of Farmland with his bare hands although he would Suffer and have a Hard time while doing it but it could still work but if that Person Had Ancient Rome’s Equipment and agriculutural Techniques then he could Cultivate few tens of Acres and have have better yield and with little bit less workload than it he had to do it barehanded without tools and equiment but if that person would use Midieval Farming tools and equipment and techniques he could Cultivate less Acres and have lower Yields than an ancient Roman Farmer while having the same workload as the Ancient Roman Farmer my Scenario only speaks about someone living in Europe during that time Since After the fall of the Roman Empire or the Western Roman Empire or the Collapse of the Roman Empire Autority in the West the Technology of Europe Reggressed and Europe became Less Advanced although Charlmagne and some other Kings and kingdoms tried to recover technology and had some Success Early On the death of Charlmagne and the usage of the Gavile Kind Inheritance system where all Sons recieved an equal portion of the land had led to many civil wars and Sick Kings or weak kings or child kings and also instability and revolts and viking invasion and Magyar and other invasions of Various tribes which thus Caused many Kingdoms Specially France to become Decentralized which Spread to other kingdoms as well gradually Since the Nobility Gained a lot of power and influence taking advantage of the Feudal Systen and the bussyness of the kings and emperors which caused them not have much much oversite on the Nobility thus the nobility gained a lot of power and Previlages and by the time kings realized it it was too late as they needed to do a lot of work over long periods time to centralize again and also Some kings gave land to the churchs to centralize thus appointing chuch preits and clergy and bishops as their governors and since its through appintment it worked early on since it is not heriditary but the pope gained power later on which thus made it pointless and also in the holy roman empire specially many of the early dynasties that came after the Carlingian early on such as the Ottonians Dynasty and the Widonid dynasty and Bosonid dynasty Unruoching dynasty and Salian dynasty and Supplinburg dynasty and Staufen dynasty and Welf dynasty going extinct without even another Branch Have led to the empire becoming decentralized a lot despite the empire starting being more centralized than france it became less centralized over time with the Prince electors and nobility and free cities and bishops gaining more and more power specially during the interegnom even through previously the emperors power became very centralized the interginum did a lot of damage to the empire thus causing the prince electors to think maybe they must keep the elective monarchy thing since most of the ancient dynasties with legitmacy went extinct without even leaving a branch family unlike the french royal families who not only left branches but also they where agnatic branches for example the when the Capetian Dynasty went extinct the valious line inherited which was an agnatic branch of the Capetians decended from Charles, Count of Valois who was the Maybe the 3rd Son of King Philip III and Robert, Count of Clermont who was the Sixth Son of King Louis IX of France who was also Ceptain and also norman conquest of england beough feudalism there while england before that altough they had nobility they were not that strong Since Kings appointed the non heriditary Aldorman which evolved Eldroman then evoled to Earls to Govern the Earldoms of the Kings and also Appointed Sherifs to Govern the Smaller Shire Countries although Earls Lost the power to govern Shires when it became a noble title later on and after the Norman Conquest not only was feudalism introduced but the Huscarls were disbanded officially although the Huscarls where like a Standing elite royal army for the king which helped kings Maintain power and also William Exmpted the nobility from the Famous Dangled Tax which used to be 2 Shellings for every pound that every land owner and farmer had to pay thus basically it was like 10% of their income and William changed it and to make up for the Dangled exemption of the nobility the peasant had to pay now 6 Shellings for every pound thus it became 30% for them and also many taxes where reformed and the Earldoms where devided further into Smaller shires counties to be governed by Earls then Sherifs and thus no Standing army was made in engalnd maybe a Small one now under the kings command which palled in comparision to the anglo Saxon kings huscarls until later on, And thus it took until the early modern era for europe to catch up in technology to ancient rome specially Farms Yield they only caught up when they discovered the 4 fields Crops rotation which was Actually an ancient farming techniques that even barbarians used and this is why europes Dark age was called the Dark age.
